Hokusai's Colors 20 Colored Pencils

Classic artist palette coloring pencils set

The art of woodblock prints, arguably Japan's most famous art genre, reached its peak in the early 19th century with the works of Katsushika Hokusai, best known for his series of paintings showing Mount Fuji from different angles and as part of various landscapes and cityscapes. What isn't so widely known, though, is that Hokusai revolutionized the medium with his use of color, particularly Prussian blue. His palette has inspired the Hokusai's Colors 20 Colored Pencils set, allowing you to duplicate some of his masterpieces!

The Hokusai's Colors 20 Colored Pencils comes in a beautiful pencil case (featuring a stunning cutout of Hokusai's classic Great Wave off Kanagawa on its sleeve) containing 20 different colored pencils with imaginatively named tints (Pomegranate Illusion, Palace Sheets, or Wild Willow) and eight different blues, so you can capture all of Hokusai's ukiyo-e magic. And to get you started, the set contains three coloring sheets with the most famous of his Fuji landscapes for creating your own reproductions of them!
