The Bloom Collapsible Fruit Basket comes from 100-year-old wagasa Japanese parasol maker Hiyoshiya in Kyoto. Taking the same technology and design as traditional umbrellas and applying it a modern household item, the Bloom is smart, pop and fun.
Based on the kyouwagasa, a handmade oil-paper umbrella, the bamboo and other old materials have been replaced by convenience ABS and metal, but the craftsmanship remains.
When not in use, simply collapse the Bloom just like a parasol or umbrella. Ideal for bread, fruit and other items, the colorful Bloom will look great on dining table, kitchen counter, or shelf.
