Aderia Retro Zombie Glass

1970s-style cocktail glasses

Unless you're part of the alcoholic side of the food and beverage industry, you probably don't know that there is a long and narrow glass called a Zombie glass, because it was used to served the cocktail with the same name in the 1930s and 1940s. Having been in the glass-making business since the Edo period (i.e., when the samurai were still roaming Japan), Ishizuka was one of the original Zombie glass makers in the country and the Aderia Retro Zombie Glass helps you travel back in time. to those glory days.

The floral patterns on the three different Aderia Retro Zombie Glasses actually date from a later period (the late 1960s and early 1970s) and, if you pay a little attention, you will recognize them: similar designs were around in the West too. The glasses are standard Zombie-style models (56 x 150 mm, 2.2 x 5.9") and have a capacity of 280 ml (9.5 fl oz). For cocktails, juices, or even plain soda, these are a great way to appreciate a different era of Japanese culture.
