Tokugawa Ieyasu Family Crest Necklace Pendant

Japanese samurai warrior jewelry

This Tokugawa Ieyasu Family Crest Necklace Pendant features the kamon or crest of the famous warlord who controlled most of Japan from 1600 until his death in 1616, leaving his dynasty to rule the country for the next 265 years. This crest inspired awe and terror around the land, and has become famous in recent times through TV shows. After Ieyasu achieved the unification of Japan, he limited the use of his crest to only certain relatives so that he could retain its value. But luckily the reign of the Tokugawa shoguns is over and now you can wear this crest any time you feel like it. The crest design is called "aoimon," based on the Asarum caulescens (wild ginger) plant. On the back, it says "Tokugawa" in kanji characters.
