Spinosaurus Plush Toy

Dinosaur stuffed doll

Crocodiles are one of the animals that perhaps most obviously bring to mind dinosaurs. If you put a croc next to a Spinosaurus, you'll immediately spot the resemblance. Known as Spinosaurus aegyptiacus because it was found in Egypt, a place where crocodiles were so common there was even a god that looked like them, this 10-15 m (33-49 ft) prehistoric creature used to live in rivers and devour whatever fish it found. If you take into account it weighed 4-7 tonnes, that would be a lot of fish! Thankfully, the Spinosaurus Plush Toy is much smaller and lighter – and doesn't need a diet of fish to survive.

What it is lacking in size, though, it makes up in scientific accuracy: its designers, have managed to squeeze into the 31.5 x 17 x 20 cm (12.4 x 5.5 x 7.9") Spinosaurus Plush Toy all the key scientific discoveries regarding the real Spinosaurus, including the asymmetrical fin on its back, the webbed hind legs, and conical teeth. And thanks to its sitting pose, the cute-looking toy is easier to play with (it makes a great gift for your children) or even put on display on your dinosaur-themed shelf or couch!
