After Howl's castle in the movie of the same name and Yubaba's public bath in Spirited Away, the house of the Kusakabe sisters in My Neighbor Totoro is probably the most recognizable setting in the whole repertoire of Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Typical of a countryside house in 1950s Japan, the home of Professor Kusakabe and his daughters Satsuki and Mei is the center of the action, since it is next to the forest where Totoro lives. The My Neighbor Totoro Kusakabe House Model brings this setting to your living room and allows you to relive Satsuki and Mei's adventures!
The My Neighbor Totoro Kusakabe House Model is a faithful replica of the house as it appears in the film. It comprises three buildings: the main house, the professor's study, and the kitchen and bathroom, which can be attached together in a 532 x 273 x 418 mm (20.9 x 10.7 x 16.5") set. Doors open and close or slide, there are real lights (powered by batteries) that you can turn on and off, and you can remove the roofs to see right inside the rooms. If you look closely, you might find the Susuwatari soot sprites and maybe a Totoro or two hiding in the shadows!
