Jurassic World Pop-Up Pirate T-Rex

Blackbeard in Danger dinosaur barrel toy

It's one of the classic toys of all time and seems to have been around for ever. In fact, the Pop-Up Pirate came out in the mid-1970s and, and this is something not many people know, was invented in Japan by Tomy (today Takara-Tomy) as the toy Blackbeard in Danger. The manufacturer tries to keep things fresh by collaborating with other franchises, and the Jurassic World Pop-Up Pirate T-Rex is such a tie-up, this time with one of Hollywood's most spectacular movie series!

If you've seen and played any incarnation of Pop-Up Pirate over the years, this T-Rex version won't be a surprise: the barrel with the slots is there and the daggers are there (but this time in the shape of turkey legs), but inside the barrel and ready to jump at you if you insert the wrong dagger (OK, turkey leg) is a small Tyrannosaurus rex who, despite its size, has a nasty look in its eyes! So put this T-Rex in the barrel, start inserting the turkey legs, and be careful: this dinosaur is restless!
