The Hasami Ware Essence of Life Mini Plate Set contains five pieces: one shaped as Japan's most iconic symbol, Mount Fuji; one as a gourd, a symbol of good health and fortune; and the other three shaped as a pine tree, bamboo leaves, and a plum flower, a particular combination called sho-chiku-bai and considered an auspicious grouping.
