A deck of Western-style playing cards themed after The Legend of Zelda? That might sound like a strange combination, but The Legend of Zelda Playing Cards really is a genuine Nintendo product! It shouldn't surprise you, though, because making playing cards was how Nintendo first started back in 1889, as the first company in Japan to make plastic cards. Even its logo back in the late 1950s was an ace of spades!
With The Legend of Zelda Playing Cards, it's all about this particular franchise: each suit has a different theme, taken from a different version of the game, starting with the original The Legend of Zelda from 1986, moving on to Ocarina of Time for diamonds, The Wind Waker for hearts, and up to Skyward Sword for the clubs. Each features different graphics for the three main characters (Link, Zelda, and Ganon) while the back has a beautiful composition featuring Link's evolution along the years against a backdrop of Triforces and the Royal Family of Hyrule's crest!
