It has been almost 30 years since the Tamagotchi, the first digital pet was launched by Bandai, so now it's the turn of the other major toy manufacturer of Japan, Takara Tomy, to introduce its own take on the theme through a collaboration with one of the country's most beloved line of kawaii (cute and adorable) characters: San-X's Sumikko Gurashi. The result is the Sumikko Friend and it's so packed with options that any child over six will immediately fall in love with it!
First of all its appearance: coming with two Sumikko Gurashi covers, the Sumikko Friend can become a Shirokuma or a Tokage. It responds to your touch or the way you hold it with various sounds and expressions. If you want to make things even more interesting, you can choose one of the 11 games and over 50 characters from Sumikko Gurashi to go through all kinds of adventures. And it comes with a neck strap so can always be with you – like a true friend!
