R2-D2, the astromech droid who together with his friend C-3PO has appeared in every Star Wars film since 1977, might actually be a little under-qualified compared to an iPad: when he was created back in the pre-internet late 1970s, nobody could know that a small tablet like the iPad would become more powerful than the super robots from a galaxy far, far away. Still, R2 is everybody's friend and perhaps he could do with a little upgrade, so why not give him one by putting an iPad inside him? Or you can do it the other way around and put him on the outside of your tablet device with the R2-D2 iPad Cover!
The R2-D2 iPad Cover is a 241 x 185 mm (9.4 x 7.3") sheet of tough PVC that has the Star Wars logo as it appears on the franchise and, under it, a graphic of R2-D2's dome in black. If you have an iPad 2, iPad 3, or iPad 4, all you have to do is peel off the sheet from its protective film, center it around the Apple logo (it has been measured so that the logo falls right in the middle of R2's photoreceptor eye), and you have your very own droid, right on your iPad!
