Kameyama Kiyomeko Frankincense Incense

African frankincense and sandalwood scent sticks

With a sensitivity about fragrances that goes back over a thousand years and a culture built around them and their appreciation, it isn't strange that the Japanese would want to extend their enjoyment beyond the scents that are native to their country or their neighbors. Even though its birthplace is in distant Africa, when frankincense was brought to Japan through first Asian visitors and then Western missionaries, the Japanese welcomed and incorporated it into their own incense blends, creating amazing results like the Kameyama Kiyomeko Frankincense Incense!

Coming from the incense craftspeople of Kameyama, Mie Prefecture, who have been developing their craft for almost a century, the Kiyomeko Frankincense Incense contains a unique blend of African frankincense powder and sandalwood that masterfully balances the fragrance cultures of North Africa, the Middle East, and East Asia and lends your space a mystical atmosphere. The box contains about 174 sticks, each of which will last about 30 minutes – long enough to transform your living room or, since it doesn't emit much smoke, even your bedroom!
