Compact and relatively lightweight, the set can be moved around and the sunken hearth (or "Irori") can also be covered so that the set serves perfectly adequately as a regular table as well.
This set also features all the tools and utensils you need to bring in the atmosphere of Japanese "wa" (harmony) into your home, including a traditional cast iron pot, or "Tetsubin". With this you can boil and make tea, and since iron is released into the water, it is far healthier than using a modern electric kettle.
