Ando Jozo Kaden Soy Sauce

Traditional Japanese condiment

Japan has hundreds of soy sauce makers, each making several types of sauce. If you start looking into them seriously, you'll be busy for years! One of your first choices, though, should be Ando Jozo Kaden Soy Sauce, which has been making Japan's most characteristic condiment according to a classic recipe from its home in Akita Prefecture since 1854.

The Ando Jozo Kaden Soy Sauce is the brewery's standard: the "kaden" in its name means "family tradition." This is the soy sauce maker's signature product with a mellow taste and rich aroma, all coming from the natural blend of wheat, soybeans, salt, and water. Although particularly good for cooking, lending a distinctive flavor to any ingredient, it also works fine as a dipping sauce for your sashimi or sushi. Available in a 360 ml (12.2 fl oz) bottle.
