Timbre Bo Door Chime

Metallic designer door bell

Sometimes, changing just one minor detail is enough to completely revolutionize an object. Take the Timbre Bo Door Chime: award-winning designer Mikiya Kobayashi in Tokyo only had to adjust the shape from tubular to squared to create something that not only looks but also sounds different, and can give your space a completely distinct personality while at the same time making it even more livable. Hence the name: "bo" means "bar" or "stick" in Japanese but also means "to live" in Danish and like all master designers, Kobayashi-sensei isn't shy to adopt ideas from abroad!

There is something essentially Japanese about the Timbre Bo Door Chime, though: if you have been in Japan, you will recognize the shape of the chopsticks people use when cooking in open fire. The Timbre Bo is also made of metal (die-cast zinc and aluminum, to be precise) and has a neodymium magnet for attaching to your door. And it comes in five different colors (black, white, green, and two shades of brown) so will blend right in anywhere!
