Based on the fire-proof hoods that Japanese school kids keep under their desks, Yellow Inc, makers of Japan's best next-generation disaster goods, have come up with the Tatamet Zukin 2, an improved version of their previous Tatamet Zukin product. This hood combines the soft Zukin hood design with Yellow Inc's Tatamet safety helmet, making for a sturdier, stronger item of head protection that nonetheless can still be folded away.
The compact fold-up helmet has a handle for ease of carrying, plus a name badge so students can identify which is theirs. The set also includes a whistle and underneath the fire-proof cover there is a 3D "head band" to improve the way the hood fits and protects the wearer's head.
You can attach the Tatemet Zukin 2 to a hook, bag or desk. And should an emergency happen and you need to put the helmet on, it can be assembled in just two easy steps. It can also be adjusted to fit almost everyone from kids to adults, and the hood also cleverly does not cover the wearer's ears so they can still hear instructions.
