In the Japanese arsenal against heat are neck coolers, air-conditioned jackets, and even backpacks with built-in fans. But the neck coolers just cover your neck and head, and the jackets are all long-sleeved and often bulky, while the backpacks usually have limited storage space because the fans take up some of it. The Ruck Spacer is an ingenious alternate way to keep your back and therefore your whole upper body cool, while wearing just a T-shirt and without replacing your convenient backpack!
Neither a garment or a backpack, the Ruck Spacer fits on your backpack, no matter how big. Its own dimensions are 250 x 85 x 350 mm (9.8 x 3.3 x 13.8"), so should fit most backpacks on the market. It keeps your backpack from touching your back and getting you all sweaty. At the same time, when hooked up to a 5V 2 A or higher USB battery, it cools you with a combined Peltier plate and fan that can reach as much as 19°C lower than the environment temperature. And if you're an office worker, it also fits nicely on your desk chair too!
