USB fans aren't new: ever since USB became the de facto standard for powering small devices, more and more fans started appearing because anything that can help us fight the summer heat is more than welcome! The problem with most of those fans is that they are usually too small to make a difference unless you have them very close to your face. Thankfully, there's now a solution to that problem: the PlusMinusZero USB Desk Fan, an air circulator that takes the concept of desktop USB fans to a whole new level.
First, it's big! Not inconveniently big by any means but at about 7 x 7.3 x 30.3 cm (2.8 x 2.9 x 11.9"), much larger than regular USB fans. And because of that, and to allow you to position it in a way that doesn't affect the ergonomics of your desk, the PlusMinusZero USB Desk Fan works either standing or lying on its side or, if you prefer something a little more out of the way, you can hang it up using the two 5 mm (0.2") holes on the back. The fan has three levels of power (low, medium, high), comes with its own USB cable, and is available in three stylish colors (white, black, or beige).
