Primario Smartphone Stand

Designer portable phone accessory

Many modern designers forget that it's not all about beauty. Utility is also vital, and the more something can be both beautiful and functional, the better. Michio Akita, the man who created the Primario Smartphone Stand, certainly adheres to that philosophy, as evident from his incredible designs for major electronics manufacturers like Kenwood and Sony. His understanding of both form and function is especially obvious in this unique piece.

The Primario Smartphone Stand is made using stainless steel, a material that is at the same time classic (as in samurai swords) and futuristic, especially when mirror-polished like the sphere and the base of this stand. The polished surfaces of these two elements contrast with the two bars that hold support your tablet or smartphone, and which have been blast-finished for a more matte effect. At 100 x 100 x 54 mm (3.9 x 3.9 x 2.1"), it fits nicely on your desk or coffee table, adding an instant touch of top-level design to your space.
