Designed especially for the Tokyo Olympics but also intended as a legacy item that will last long after the Summer Games are over, the Olympic Heritage Maneki-neko Lucky Cat Tokyo Edition is a very unusual and innovative take on a classic Japanese character: the beckoning cat. Designed respectively by two famed manga artists, Leiji Matsumoto and Yoichi Takahashi, this pair of ornamental porcelain sculptures reinvent the usual red and white look of the maneki-neko with a vibrant manga-esque look.
