At first, the Nikken Oda Nobunaga Samurai Sword Scissors look like just a novelty: a pair of scissors shaped as a samurai katana sword. But there is a lot to unpack here because this isn't just any sword: it's the Souza Samonji sword that belonged to Oda Nobunaga, one of the greatest warlords in Japanese history, and one of the blades bears an inscription with the sword name. And at the same time, Souza Samonji is a character from Touken Ranbu, one of the most successful online games in Japan!
To honor both Nobunaga and the character in the game, the Nikken Oda Nobunaga Samurai Sword Scissors come with a beautiful black saya (scabbard) decorated with one of Oda Nobunaga's crests (the one called Oda Mokko) and a sageo cord to secure the saya in the samurai's obi sash. Its total length is 180 mm (7.1"), it's made of ABS and stainless steel, and as for its cutting capabilities, you don't need to worry: it's made in Gifu Prefecture's Seki, a city with a history of making cutlery and blades (including samurai swords) going back over 700 years!
