Hollow Flower Vase

Of all the plants in Japan's rich flora, bamboo is perhaps the one that could be used as a metaphor for the country and its people: a bamboo pole is soft enough to bend in a full circle but sturdy enough to be able to snap back to its original shape as soon as you let it go. Despite the advent of plastics, bamboo has never stopped being used in Japan. On the contrary, recently it has gained even more followers among people who appreciate its organic quality and the way it transforms modern spaces. The Hollow Flower Vase is one of the most characteristic examples of this new approach to this traditional material.

Designed by renowned designer Haruki Senda and made by Okayama Prefecture's Teori, which has been specializing in bamboo since 1988, the Hollow Flower Vase is a combination of bamboo and a glass vial that will make a single flower the center of attention of the space surrounding it. With a natural finish and showcasing bamboo's flexibility in an original, imaginative way, it adds a purely Japanese note of cutting-edge design and classical aesthetics to any room and subtly blends in with the interior decoration.
