Vases come in all shapes and forms but these Flowerman Vases are certainly among the most original we've ever seen. Designed by Kumamoto-born Ayumi Sakamoto and Tomomi Uchiyama from Yamaguchi, these two vases are shaped like a human figure with the flower as the "head." As the flower changes from closed to open to withering, the vases become living statues with the heads moving angles and transforming expressions. It's an instant classic and typically Japanese approach to design, giving a new spin to a very old concept.

The Flowerman Vase comes in two models, Sitting and Standing. The standing version is made of porcelain but the sitting model is made of unbreakable ABS elastic resin, since it's purpose is to sit at the edge of a table or shelf and, well, accidents do happen! But they both share the same shape and aesthetic, and will fit nicely into any space, providing a home for a single flower each. As we know from the traditional Japanese art of flower-arranging (ikebana), sometimes just one flower is all you need!
