Choro-Q Sumikko Gurashi Set

Cute San-X character mini cars

"Choro" comes from the expression "choro-choro," which means jumping around, the way a rabbit would. "Q" is an abbreviation of "cute." Combined together, these words denote a series of small pullback car toys that Takara Tomy has been producing since 1978 (you might have heard them as the Penny Racers of Nintendo 64 game fame). So with the Choro-Q Sumikko Gurashi Set, just from the name you should know that we are in deep kawaii territory.

The Choro-Q Sumikko Gurashi Set contains five Choro-Q cars, each themed after one of the most popular characters in the Sumikko Gurashi universe: Shirokuma, Tokage, Penguin?, Tonkatsu, and Neko. Besides the car itself that's shaped like each of character, there is a miniature version of the character also popping up from the car's roof so you get double the fun when playing with them. And like all Choro-Q cars, you just need to pull them back a couple of times and they'll start driving around with their Sumikko Gurashi passengers!
