It wasn't the first boat sailed by Monkey D. Luffy of the One Piece the manga and anime saga that has broken pretty much every record in the industry. But the Thousand Sunny with the Gaon cannon in the figurehead is certainly the most famous of all the ships in the franchise and as much a fan favorite as its captain himself. The Chogokin One Piece Thousand Sunny from Bandai's long-running and popular Chogokin Tamashii series is a true homage homage to Luffy's iconic brigantine.
With the Chogokin One Piece Thousand Sunny, Bandai has outdone itself: the die-cast ship is big enough (350 x 380 x 230 mm / 13.8 x 15 x 9") to allow for an amazing amount of detail not only on the outside but on the inside as well. Side panels slide so you can see the various rooms and cabins of the boat. The figurehead opens to reveal the Gaon cannon. It even comes with built-to-scale Shiro Mokuba I, Mini Merry II, Shark Submerge III, Kurosai FR-U IV, and Brachio Tank V boats that come out of the side dock. A really amazing model that will become the centerpiece of any One Piece figure collection!
