Designer Toho kaiju
The classic Toho kaiju who fought the world's most famous monster, Godzilla, way back in 1972, gets a makeover courtesy of designer M1GO's Yuji Nishimura for this retro vinyl toy from TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS. Available exclusively overseas through JapanTrendShop, this new version of Gaigan comes in two colors, blue or pink, and is strictly limited to a mere 125 units each.
Coming in their own retro packaging bags, these can be stored and saved as precious collectors' items, or they can be taken out and displayed in your home or funky establishment as examples of Japanese pop culture brought back to life with a vengeance by a contemporary designer.
