The ingenious Virtual Masters Real is a fishing rod and reel toy that superimposes a virtual landscape of fish over the real world that you can view through the in-built camera and display. So, get ready for fishing swimming all around you and your friends! But this isn't just about looking at fish and finding one to catch. As we know, reality is tactile and Takara Tomy has designed the fishing reel to feature AR (augmented reality) feedback so you that you actually feel and get the physical resistance as if you have got a live catch on the end of your line.
On top of audio, you will feel vibrations and feedback sensations when you cast your line and as it hits the water. What's more, your skill is really reflected in the interaction with the toy: the more you throw, the further the line is cast. And reeling in your catch requires the same timing and effort as in actual fishing, so it's a great way to teach kids how to fish too. Don't worry about accidents, either, since the Virtual Masters has a strap to make sure you won't throw your rod into the virtual "river".
Complete with over FORTY kinds of fish to catch, the Virtual Masters comes in two colors and also features three different modes. These mean you can switch up your fishing locale and battle against rival champions, or try out the AR camera to make it feel like you are fishing right inside your home or wherever you happen to be.
