The first orange and blue "human instrument" toys were deserved hits all over the world. Now here's the next version from Takara Tomy, the Ningen Gakki - feat. Rap, which, in spite of the name, you don't need to be Eminem to play. Just like the original, hold onto the legs of the starfish-like toy and then touch other people to create a whole spectrum of sonic delights.
Now the new version has harder and more innovative modes, including ABCD, where players tap whenever their letter is called. Music Mode, meanwhile, makes you touch each other's bodies in rhythm to the soundtrack, creating a kind of group rap, complete with "scratching".
Another mode is where one player is chosen and you must touch his or her body parts in rhythm to the announcements (in Japanese - but you can work out which sounds go where!). Yes, we reckon this one could get very interesting on a date!
Coming with a whole bunch of improved beats and music effects (including 64 words), this is a great ice-breaker for parties or toy for kids to learn about sounds while interacting in a fun way.
The Ningen Gakki - feat. Rap features:
- Color: gray
- Three modes: Music Mode; ABCD; Touch the Person (Japanese only)
- Instructions: Japanese only (but experiment to learn how to use!)
- Size: 12 x 10 x 3cm (4.7 x 3.9 x 1.2")
